  1. The "Display Options" dialog allows the user to customize NetMinder
  2.  
  3. Ethernet's display.  There are seven options:
  4.  
  5.  * Map Ethernet addresses to names:  checking this option will
  6.  
  7.   direct NetMinder Ethernet to print a name wherever an Ethernet
  8.  
  9.   address would be displayed.  The user provides the map between
  10.  
  11.   Ethernet addresses and names using the Address MapΓǪ menu item
  12.  
  13.   under the Options menu.
  14.  
  15.  * Display packet data in hex:  checking this option will
  16.  
  17.   display all Ethernet data in hexadecimal digits instead
  18.  
  19.   of decoded protocols.
  20.  
  21.  * High speed display:  checking this option will turn off
  22.  
  23.  statistic drawing while NetMinder Ethernet is collecting
  24.  
  25.  packets.  This option might be checked if the user is
  26.  
  27.  expecting heavy traffic on the Ethernet network and wants
  28.  
  29.  collect as many packets as possible.
  30.  
  31.  * Abbreviated packet display:  checking this option causes the
  32.  
  33.  discard of "non-essential" protocol and pad data for some
  34.  
  35.  protocols when packets are decoded in the Ethernet Data Window.
  36.  
  37.  *  Map Ethernet addresses to manufacturer:  checking this option
  38.  
  39.  will cause a six character manufacturer code to be displayed
  40.  
  41.  whenever an unmapped Ethernet address is displayed.
  42.  
  43.  * Statistics update time:  to specify the number of seconds between
  44.  
  45.   statistics updates and redraws, change the statistics update time.
  46.  
  47.  *  When using the MapΓǪ button:  this option allows the user to select
  48.  
  49.  either the source or destination Ethernet address to be mapped
  50.  
  51.  when using the MapΓǪ button in the NetMinder Ethernet window.
